Dear All,
Just to say can any one help as I am still at a brick wall. Trying to get a naval penision due to my PTSD and my discharge was due to heavy drinking. My doctor says that drinking is part of my PTSD but the Navy does not to accept that it is. Has anyone out there can help with any imformation that can help me.

Drinking
Hi I've just been diagnosed with complex ptsd. When I go through bad episodes I drink a lot, and I mean a lot. My psychiatrist and the psychologist have confirmed that this is linked to the ptsd. There are a number of sites on the web which give information about this, including the Royal College of Psychiatrists,

I don't know if you're had a psychiatric assessment or not. But your doctor can support your case by writing and explaining the situation. You could also ask your psychiatrist (if you have one) for a formal letter explaining the situation.
Hope this helps
